What is a Fader?

A fader is slider control that is typically used to adjust volume levels.  However, they may also be used to control pan (balance), or any other effect.

What is the Fader View?

The Tempo View window becomes the Fader View when you use the Alt+2 command (use Alt+1 to get back to the Tempo View).  This view shows one fader for each track that's selected:

As you move a fader up or down by clicking and dragging its handle, the current controller value will be displayed and the appropriate MIDI commands sent to your synthesizer:

You will also notice that towards the bottom of their range, the "cool" color green is used, and towards the top of their range, the "hot" color red is used.

During playback, the faders will move automatically to reflect the current controller settings.

How can I change the controller that's displayed?

Right-click or double-click in the display rectangle to change the controller:

Available controllers are determined by settings in the Synthesizer Database for the synthesizer you have associated with the port in the current track's properties.

How can I move more than one fader at a time?

Hold down the Ctrl key as you move a fader to change all faders to the same value.  Hold down the Shift key as you move a fader to move all faders by the same relative amount.

Can I record real-time fader movements?

Yes.  While recording, move one or more faders.  When you keep the take, MIDI events will be added to the song which reflect the movements that you made.

First, I play in a rock band and was looking for a nice Midi
sequencer that can be use to play live jam/gig and also have FULL
control over the midi. Having a Start button, with TAP for tempo, and
also playing the introduction until I decide to start the song was a
most. Other sequencer I found did'nt give you the control like
