After I load my DVD into the program, I can only see the titles of it. How can I see the chapters in each title of the DVD? A: Please click the button between "Title" and the red one, "Start Ripping". It will show or hide the chapters of your DVD.
How can I get the subtitle of the DVD which I want in the final output file? A: Before you start ripping, please check the "Subtitle" box, which can be found on the top. It will show all the subtitles that your DVD has. You can select one of them you like for ripping.
After the conversion is done, I found that it is not in the correct audio track I want. What I want is French, but I get English. How to correct it? A: In the "Audio" box, all the audio tracks can be found. Please select the one you want before you start ripping.
How can I modify the settings on the right panel of the interface for my conversion job? Should I just use the values which the program has offered or should I enter a number which I want directly? But after I click "Start Ripping", all the options I modified will return to the default ones. Why? A: Before you modify anything, you must highlight the item of your DVD, chapter or title which you want to rip in the program. Besides the values we have offered, you can simply enter a number you want for the conversion for most output formats, such as video and audio bit rate, frame rate, and video size, etc. But sometimes, it would be limited by output format as well as some other conditions.
After I make some proper modifications on settings, is it possible to save it as a single profile so that I can use it directly each time? A: It can be done by the "Save As" button. After you finish the modifications, please click this button and finish other jobs following instructions. After the profile is created, you can delete or re-name it as you like.
I just want a clip/segment of my DVD. Is it possible? A: Yes. You need set "Start Time" and "Duration" to get the clip you want. First of all, you should highlight the tile of your DVD, which includes the main episodes of the movie. And then enter correct values for "Start Time" and "Duration", which can be found on the right panel of the interface. For example, if you want a 3-minute-clip from the 10 minutes of the whole movie, please enter "00:10:00" for "Start Time" and "00:03:00" for "Duration".
When I try to convert my DVD to WMV format, or other PPC options, the program simply and quickly shows "Complete" for the conversion. But the output files are only in a few KB, apparently not playable. Why? A: please check the version of your Windows Media Player. If it is not V10.0, please get it upgraded from www.microsoft.com. It is free.
After my DVD is ripped, I get a quite low/high volume. Is it possible to raise/lower it? A: Please open "Settings-Preference", in the "DVD (Global)" card, you will find the option for "Volume". The default value is 3. You can enter a smaller or larger number for it. If you can not be sure what a proper number is, our software can help you detect it. Please click the "Detect" button on its right. Our software will then begin to test the volume value of your DVD. The longer you wait the more accurate number you will get. During the detecting process, you can get the number that our software gets saved automatically by clicking "Save and Close".
After I get the output files I want, I found they are all named in "Title 01", "Title 02" or "Chapter 01", "Chapter 02", etc. Is it possible to use the title I want for them directly? A: On the top of the main interface, there is a box called "Title". What you entered in that box before the conversion will be the title for the output files.
After the conversion is done, I click "Open" to find the output files. But I get a sub-folder named in the Album of my DVD and the output files are in it. Is it possible to avoid it? I just want to find my output files directly in the output folder I set. A: If you do not like it, please open "Settings-Preference". In the "General" card, please cancel the options for "Create chapter folder in the output folder" and "Create album folder in the output folder". After that, you will be able to find the output files directly in the output folder.
After I ripped my DVD to WMV and load the file into my PPC, the device will play it a while but stop and close the player then. Why? A: Maybe your PPC can not support the video size which you used in the conversion job. It might be too large to be afforded by PPC. Please low it down. Actually, we have offered several options for certain models of PPC in the "Profile" list. If you use those options, the output files will be played well.
How to rip my DVD into one file? A: After your DVD is loaded into the program, please highlight the title of your DVD which contains the main episodes of the movie and then run "File-Rip Selected" to get it ripped. If you did not change "Split" option whose "Infinite" is the default option, you should be able to get one single file for the entire DVD.
